Wasteland is one of those thrift stores where you just hit the jackpot. We already added Wasteland to our blog post about the best thrift stores in San Francisco. Started in 1985 by Joe Swinney and Cheryl Cohen, Wasteland has been praised by Vogue, Rolling Stone and Nylon. Fashionistas travel here to find a vintage Chanel bag or score a Rick Owens jacket. Wasteland is always a reflection of the moment – art, music, history and the now.

UCLA

UCLA thrift is one of the best thrift stores in LA for clothes. There are always great sales on, with 50% or sometimes 75% off items. They have beautiful art pieces and furniture on sale too, which is great if you’re redecorating your place or want to find a conversation piece. Sometimes there’s the odd vintage arcade game or a pearl drum set for sale too.
