UCF Arboretum

UCF Arboretum is one of the best outdoor activities in Orlando for free. The Arboretum provides opportunities for visitors to explore and learn about the plant life and other natural wonders of the University of Florida campus. There are tours for children to get them excited about science and the environment. Or if you’re for a hike, there are four trails available including Lake Claire.

Popcorn flicks in the park

Watching a movie outdoors is a really cool activity to do in Orlando. Popcorn Flicks are usually held on the second Thursday of each month in Winter Park. Movies are free and open to the public. Bring a blanket, a picnic, some friends and relaxing watching a classic. Keep an eye on the website for different film festivals including their Reel Representation series.

Wekiwa Springs

Wekiwa Springs State Park has lots of outdoor activities in Orlando. In the mood for camping? Wekiwa Springs has sixty spacious locations. Each site has water, electrical hook-up, and a picnic table. Want to do something more adventurous? Go mountain biking, scuba diving or even take a ride on one of the many equestrian trails. With so many activities to do, Wekiwa Springs is the perfect vacation spot.

Hot Air Balloon Ride

Taking a hot air balloon ride is just one of many outdoor adrenaline activities in Orlando. This is perfect for testing the waters and breaking out of your comfort zone. Taking off at sunrise, admire the stunning scenery below. Take as many pictures as you can as you will never want to forget this experience. After the one hour flight, relax with some snacks and even calm your nerves with some champagne.  

BK Adventure

BK Adventure is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Orlando. Owners Ram and Sandra started the adventure tour to show people the hidden gems nature has to offer. Did you know Florida has a bioluminescent bay that has glowing plankton? Kayak at sunset and see bioluminescent sea life glowing after dark. Spot the odd dolphin wanting to play too. Check out their Pedal and Paddle tour. Mountain bike in the forest and keep an eye out for giant gators!
