Fashion & Mash is a daily news site for those interested in the crossroads of fashion and technology. Interesting cross section right? As well as providing online content, they host quarterly events, and Dublin’s dead trendy clothes store/coffee bar Raglan played host to the first ever Dublin #fashmash during the Web Summit.
To me it makes sense that there would be events for crossroads of ‘everything + technology’. Tech isn’t going away, the best way to use it in your industry or for your needs is to get inside it, get to know it, make friends with it, ask a ton of questions, try stuff out and make mistakes until you know exactly what bit of it is going to help you or excites you. Reading up on things online is great, but talking to people, that’s even better. I’ve never seen more innovative ideas come about than when people talk face to face. If you happen to get to do that at a fancy party then so be it.
For more info on #fashmash, keep an eye out here for our upcoming interview with founder Rachel Arthur. But for now, here are the pictures of the party. Beautiful work by GirlCrew member and photographer extraordinaire Bárbara Crepaldi.
