2 Aug – 3 Sep | 2:30pm + 7:30pm | Main Space at Smock Alley, Dublin | Standard tickets from €18, or add brunch or dinner for an extra €7-12
This summer Smock Alley presents its sixth in-house production, one of Bernard Shaw’s most popular and well-loved plays, Pygmalion. They will also host Dinner & A Show and Brunch & A Show events throughout the run if you want to make a day of it!
Regarded as one of the greatest comedies in the English language for its sharp wit and subversiveness, this witty and enchanting story was the inspiration for the Oscar winning film ‘My Fair Lady’. Eccentric linguistics Professor Henry Higgins attempts to transform unrefined flower seller Eliza Doolittle into a Duchess. The classic is a satirical take on society’s notions of class, money and the struggle for personal independence.
On selected evenings you can enjoy a specially designed seasonal pre-show dinner with a glass of wine in Smock Alley’s Banquet Hall and see Pygmalion. Or, have the perfect afternoon out with a scrumptious wholesome brunch followed by a matinee performance of Pygmalion.
