It’s a quiet night and instead of going out in the rain/snow/hurricane, get a takeaway and have some friends over! You and your #GirlCrew should stay in and relax.
Why not treat yourself to a takeaway? But then the no one can decide what do get and arguments ensue. Well, luckily for you, GirlCrew HQ and Just Eat have teamed up and put together a list of five great takeaways for having friends over.

Busy packing up you tent and wellies for Electric Picnic tonight? Take the pressure off, keep that fridge closed and enjoy your last meal in peace and quiet for a few days with a Mao at Home! https://mymao.ie/app/ #mao #maoathome #maodublin #asianfood #deliverydublin #electricpicnic
One of my go to places to order Thai food from. Their chefs have been putting together the right flavours and freshest ingredients together for over 20 years. The team create delicious dishes making them my leading authentic Thai restaurant of choice in Dublin. Looking for the perfect Saturday night treat? I recommend the honey sesame chicken. If you’re having friends over, this place is perfect.
BodyChef was launched in Cork in 2015 when co-owner Damien wanted to give people who work long hours and who aren’t that great at cooking, a chance to eat some really healthy food and start getting fit. “The whole idea that eating healthy is all salads is totally wrong, we’re proving that you can still enjoy proper meals and lose weight and stay fit.” The menu changes every week on a Thursday. They also have a vegetarian menu. But if you like a bit of meat, I recommend the jalapeno turkey burger.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK)
I didn’t even know you could order GBK from Just Eat?! Day made. Anyway, Gourmet Burger Kitchen was started in 2001 by three guys from New Zealand. Now with five restaurants in Dublin, each kitchen serves up a variety of crafted burgers, combining 100% grass fed Irish beef, with the freshest ingredients and sauces made from scratch. I recommend the cheese burger and chocolate milkshake, because you can’t beat a classic.
OK, so something healthy might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think takeaway. But we’re pretty sure winter is coming to a close so if you need something light, but filling, check out Cocu: a healthy obsession. Enjoy a tasty wrap, baked gluten free goodies, cold press juices and the best part, coffee! I recommend the Korean chicken salad, apparently you can make friends with salad.

You just can’t beat a good pizza on a night in with friends. And you can’t get pizza any more authentic than c. Run by the Fusciardi family who pride themselves on sharing their family food traditions. Da Mimmo was nominated for the Lovin’ Dublin ‘Best Restaurant’ category in November 2014. I recommend the bunga bunga pizza because it’s fun to say and has Italian sausage, bacon, pepperoni & Italian ham. Perfecto!
So what do you think? Have we missed anywhere? Is five great takeaways for having friends over enough? Where is your favourite takeaway spot? Don’t forget you can order them all on Just Eat.
PS In need of something sweet to finish off the night? Did you know you can now order Ladurée on Just Eat now. Fabulous!
Huge thanks to the team at Just Eat for being #friends of GirlCrew – wondering what that means? Check out our social terminology here.
