Making Friends in Okahoma
Making friends as an adult can be a difficult, how do you know even where to even start? For 45,000 amazing ladies (and growing!) GirlCrew has been the perfect solution. GirlCrew has groups in cities all over the world and whether you’re new to a city, travelling through, or have lived there forever, you’re bound to find a few people who share a few common interests with a quick post into one of the secret, local groups. GirlCrew is open to all women over 25, with no upper age limit and there are always new members joining, we’ve all been newbies once! Join the Oklahoma group here or check out our other city groups if that’s not where you’re based.
Now that you’ve got a crew sorted, what’s good to see, do or eat there?
Maybe start with a stroll through the Myriad Botanical Gardens (pictured above). It’s a 17-acre botanical garden and interactive urban park located in downtown Oklahoma City on the southwest corner of Reno and Robinson and is a perfect start to a nice afternoon or evening in the city with friends.
Afterwards, head to one of the city’s numerous great cafe’s and food spots for some fuel 😀 Our best tip for finding somewhere to eat is by posting in the Oklahoma group as the girls are always well up on the best secret gems, new spots and will be able to help find the perfect place whatever your taste and budget.
If museums (or cowboys) are your bag, it’s worth checking out the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The city also boasts a slightly creepy but really interesting Museum of Osteology – or bones! America’s only skeleton museum apparently!
